Mermaid Hair

I have been growing my hair out for a couple of years now. After a while I decided I was going to grow my hair out until it was mermaid length. (If you don't know what mermaid length is just think about it for a minute.) So my hair has been driving me crazy for the past couple of months and all I have wanted to do is chop it off. However, I hadn't met my goal yet so I couldn't do it. The other day I was looking through some recent pictures and I found this one. I love this picture but focus on my hair for a second...

That's what I would call mermaid hair!!! I was really excited because this is proof I made it to mermaid hair length! So I scheduled an appointment that night with my fabulous hair dresser and sister-in-law Jackie and tonight I cut my hair off!
I'm not really sure how I feel about it yet. I can't stop touching it and I feel like a whole lot of something is missing. When I put my school bag over my shoulder I went to pull my hair out from under the strap, to find no hair caught there. I put on my seat belt and tried to move the hair from out of the belt and also... no hair. It has been an interesting phenomenon for me. I feel like it will be good Summer hair and it makes me feel sassier. Peace out mermaid hair!

MIKA

I have recently gained an appreciation/obsession with MIKA! I had never really known about him or the greatness that he is! For those of you who don't know, he is a pop musician. My play list is going to be only MIKA for a while! Enjoy!
Side Note: I also like him because he looks crazy/stoned/creepy/funny and more. He's got some serious hair and skinny jeans. He seems like someone I would like to be friends with.

This Is Gonna Be Great!

I have been criticized the past few months for a serious lack of current pictures of myself and anything going on. Well I have good news!!! This week I got a beautiful new camera from my parents for my birthday!
It is all stylish and red which is really exciting! It is also called finepix Z and what isn't cool about that?! I have high hopes that this will improve my blogging! Watch out for good stuff to come! Also, Survivor got over last night so you won't pathetically be posting about that anymore! :)

Worst Day Ever

I wasn't going to say post anything about this because nobody but me really cares and I get made fun of for these types of posts. However, I then decided that it would be disrespectful of me of not to express my sadness regarding the following events. In a past post I expressed my love and admiration for Ozzy Lusth one of the favorites on Survivor: Micronesia this season. I sadly report the he was blindsided and voted off with the Immunity Idol in his possession (idiot)! It happened two weeks ago and I am still trying to get over it. I had such high hopes for him winning this year and it has definitely made Thursdays a little bit less exciting. I'll miss you Ozzy.

MASH

One of my favorite things about mine and Kim's friendship is our random conversations and moments. When we go on long road trips something entertaining always seems to happen on our car ride returning home. Our recent weekend getaway to Vegas was no different. On the way home we ended up playing MASH. Remember... Mansion, Apartment, Shack, or House. The 100% accurate future fortune telling test. Kim and I were pretty impressed at how realistic they turned out and have serious confidence in our MASH futures. So here is a look into Kim and Lindsi's futures.

Important Note:
1. Our future husbands were determined but for their personal safety and ours they will remain nameless. All you need to know is they are both a perfect match for each of us and they are tall, dark, and hotty hottersons.
2. There are 2 categories I grew up playing with that Kim had never heard of they are Married or Divorced and Rich or Poor. She didn't like these categories but I was the scribe so I won. I also made up one more category which ended up being a favorite of ours: Lame or Cool.

Lindsi Marie Sullivan:
Our home will be: a shack
We will live in: San Diego, California
We will be married in: Timpanogos Temple
Our honeymoon will be to: My Grandma's Cabin at Strawberry Reservoir
Number of kids we will have: 5
My job will be: Teacher
My husband will be a: Doctor
We will be poor (Not sure how this works with the doctor thing but we will be living in a shack too so something sketchy is obviously gonna happen.)
We will stay married forever!
We will be cool (duh, like that was a question)!

Kimberly Ruth Crane:
Their home will be: a house
They will live in: Davis County
They will be married in: Bountiful Temple
Their honeymoon will be to: Belize
Number of kids they will have: 6
Kim's job will be: a Dance Teacher
Her husband will be: a Lawyer
They will drive: a Honda Accord
They will be rich.
They will get a divorce. (Kim was real mad about this.)
They will be cool (duh also)!

So there you have it. Kim and Lindsi's futures lives. Pretty dang believable if you ask me. If this motivated you to play MASH again for old times sake, I found a fun website: http://www.playmash.com/ Comment and let me know what the future holds for you! :)

24 Feels Pretty Good!

Last week was a very exciting, fun and adventure filled week for me! My 24th birthday was on Saturday and I was able to celebrate it cool kid style! Here are a few highlights from the week!
  • Wednesday my best buds surprised me and took me out to dessert at Iceberg! Brittney made me very delicious brownies and I got a brownie shake too. It was pure heaven! (Brittney I need the recipe for those brownies because I can't get them out of my head.)

  • Don't those brownies look delicious? Mmmmmm.

  • Thursday Kim and I went to the playoff Jazz game against the Houston Rockets. We are officially "Jazzies". Sadly the Jazz lost but it was actually really fun! I loved seeing all the crazies that came out for the festivities. They had a live band beforehand, clowns, balloon animals, free t-shirts, and more. Probably my favorite part of the evening was Kim's desire to get pictures with every random or eccentric person that she saw. She even tried to make friends with Sean (her seat neighbor) but he wasn't having it. Our impressive dance moves got us on the jumbo tron which felt like a birthday miracle! :) Check out Kim's blog for some sweet pictures!
  • Friday my first graders celebrated ALL day long! I forgot how exciting birthdays are when you are 6 years old. My class was at a new level of excited! It was intense. By lunch time at 11:45 they had 2 doughnuts, a cupcake, a frosting covered sugar cookie, orange juice, a Capri sun, and a Reese's peanut butter cup. Seriously disgusting. They gave me presents, we played games, read my favorite books, and I got unlimited compliments. They were so sweet and more excited than I could ever pretend to be.
  • Friday night Kim and I headed off to Vegas to celebrate! We got to spend time chillin' with Kim's brother and sister-in-law, Nate and Chelsea, and Kim's adorable nephews, Sawyer and Wyatt. They partied with me all weekend long! They got a strawberry cheesecake to celebrate and catered to my every request! More about Vegas in a later post but thanks Crane's for making my birthday fun!
  • Sawyer was a good helper when it was time to blow out the candles! Everythings more fun when you have a two year old around!
  • Saturday was my actual birthday and we went to see Mama Mia at Mandalay Bay. We went to the 10 o'clock show and Kim and I both are old folks because it was virtually impossible for us to stay awake. It took Kim a Diet Coke, a package of Starburst, and a bag of sunflower seeds to stay awake. For me it was Diet Mountain Dew and Mambas. I enjoyed the show for the most part and just found it fun to be at the show in Vegas. Doing something different than the norm is always exciting!
  • To finish off my week long birthday celebration I went to dinner tonight (Wednesday) with my Mom and Dad at Brick Oven. It's always a party when your hanging out with Toni and Slim!

So as you can tell I was spoiled rotten for the celebration of my birth! I was able to PARTY LIKE A ROCK STAR!

Goodbye My Friend

I am officially declaring my camera lost. Forever. Goodbye. So I feel it only appropriate to give my trusted friend a final goodbye and tribute. I am putting up some of my favorite pictures that I have been able to take since getting the bud at Christmas of '06. Goodbye and thanks for all the good times. I love all these pictures for many reasons. Which one is your favorite?
Hillarie wishes you a Merry Christmas!

My little first grade munchkins!
It's hard not to love this picture. Especially because it's still snowing in Utah and I want to be back in weather like that!

I REALLY love this picture. It makes me think, "Runaway Bride!"

Me, my girls, and the rascals

Slim and Toni, I promise he was happy to be there.

Scary, very scary.

Sweet shades.
Slim and Jonas. Best buds.

This is not even kind of flattering of me. However, I love that Scooter and I are just chillin'.

My irreplaceable girls

I couldn't help myself. He loves it when I expose embarrassing pictures of him.

Katie Sue and Scoots. They're making the same face!!!

We're just racing! I think we're winning!

My cute second graders form last year! I miss these little gems!

Three of my most favorite people and they just look so happy!

The Britt, The Linds, and The Jack. Super cool.

We are going to Mexico! Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey!

She's getting ready for her modeling debut. Gorgeous.

I can't get enough of this little chubster!

Also, a part of her modeling portfolio. She can't help it if she's got it!

So that's all folks! Thanks camera for the good times, I'm sorry I lost you in the end.

Oh Where, Oh Where, Could It Be?

I can't find my camera. Anywhere. It has been lost for 3+ weeks and I don't feel like it is going to be found. :( This weekend I cleaned everything I own in my personal quest for the camera. On Thursday I cleaned out my desk and a couple other cluttered areas at school, it wasn't there. On Friday I cleaned out my purse and a few overnight bags I have used lately, not there. Saturday I cleaned out my car. I found 11 coats and jackets, 2 cell phone charges, my favorite water bottle, my ipod head phones, but no camera. Then I cleaned my room. Every nook and cranny. I came up empty handed. So I guess I am saying farewell to my good friend. It's my birthday in a couple of weeks so I'm gonna have to change my request. I wanted itunes gift cards but a new camera has just topped the list. Dang. I am going to offer a $2.00 reward to anyone who might find it. (Kim, maybe in you room or car? I don't know.) That's big bucks team, make it happen.

This Rocked My Socks!

I have been procrastinating watching Idol Gives Back because it is 2 and a half ours long. This morning after I woke up I had about 30 minutes and decided to give it a try. I start watching and presented with a very pleasant surprise! Two of my favorite things- American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance! I was so happy and excited to see all my old favorites from SYTYCD on Idol Gives Back this week! I forgot how much I love Benji, Donyelle, Travis, Danny, Lauren, and the rest of the crew! It is so entertaining to watch them all dance. I thought the 3 boys' contemporary solo was fantastic and the break dancing at the end was great as well. I even kind of liked it when Seacrest danced. It was just awkward enough to be cute. Lacey was as skanky as ever... shocker. I am sad Sabra and Neil weren't in it. At least I didn't spot them. Did you? Anyways, if you didn't see it watch now! I have watched it like 10 times! Watching this almost made the next two hours bearable (I said almost).
