Goodbye My Friend

I am officially declaring my camera lost. Forever. Goodbye. So I feel it only appropriate to give my trusted friend a final goodbye and tribute. I am putting up some of my favorite pictures that I have been able to take since getting the bud at Christmas of '06. Goodbye and thanks for all the good times. I love all these pictures for many reasons. Which one is your favorite?
Hillarie wishes you a Merry Christmas!

My little first grade munchkins!
It's hard not to love this picture. Especially because it's still snowing in Utah and I want to be back in weather like that!

I REALLY love this picture. It makes me think, "Runaway Bride!"

Me, my girls, and the rascals

Slim and Toni, I promise he was happy to be there.

Scary, very scary.

Sweet shades.
Slim and Jonas. Best buds.

This is not even kind of flattering of me. However, I love that Scooter and I are just chillin'.

My irreplaceable girls

I couldn't help myself. He loves it when I expose embarrassing pictures of him.

Katie Sue and Scoots. They're making the same face!!!

We're just racing! I think we're winning!

My cute second graders form last year! I miss these little gems!

Three of my most favorite people and they just look so happy!

The Britt, The Linds, and The Jack. Super cool.

We are going to Mexico! Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey!

She's getting ready for her modeling debut. Gorgeous.

I can't get enough of this little chubster!

Also, a part of her modeling portfolio. She can't help it if she's got it!

So that's all folks! Thanks camera for the good times, I'm sorry I lost you in the end.

Oh Where, Oh Where, Could It Be?

I can't find my camera. Anywhere. It has been lost for 3+ weeks and I don't feel like it is going to be found. :( This weekend I cleaned everything I own in my personal quest for the camera. On Thursday I cleaned out my desk and a couple other cluttered areas at school, it wasn't there. On Friday I cleaned out my purse and a few overnight bags I have used lately, not there. Saturday I cleaned out my car. I found 11 coats and jackets, 2 cell phone charges, my favorite water bottle, my ipod head phones, but no camera. Then I cleaned my room. Every nook and cranny. I came up empty handed. So I guess I am saying farewell to my good friend. It's my birthday in a couple of weeks so I'm gonna have to change my request. I wanted itunes gift cards but a new camera has just topped the list. Dang. I am going to offer a $2.00 reward to anyone who might find it. (Kim, maybe in you room or car? I don't know.) That's big bucks team, make it happen.

This Rocked My Socks!

I have been procrastinating watching Idol Gives Back because it is 2 and a half ours long. This morning after I woke up I had about 30 minutes and decided to give it a try. I start watching and presented with a very pleasant surprise! Two of my favorite things- American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance! I was so happy and excited to see all my old favorites from SYTYCD on Idol Gives Back this week! I forgot how much I love Benji, Donyelle, Travis, Danny, Lauren, and the rest of the crew! It is so entertaining to watch them all dance. I thought the 3 boys' contemporary solo was fantastic and the break dancing at the end was great as well. I even kind of liked it when Seacrest danced. It was just awkward enough to be cute. Lacey was as skanky as ever... shocker. I am sad Sabra and Neil weren't in it. At least I didn't spot them. Did you? Anyways, if you didn't see it watch now! I have watched it like 10 times! Watching this almost made the next two hours bearable (I said almost).

Guitar Hero for Life

I finally made it happen!! 596 note streak, 100% of the notes hit, 5 gold stars! I'm really proud of myself! It was on medium so I have moved on to hard now. I'm not very good at it but I am already getting better.

Taggy Taggerson

I've been tagged. I'm not sure how I feel about tags but whatev. It gives me something to blog about. Here we go...
A- Attached or single: As single as they come :)
B- Best Friend: I have a ton of super solid girl friends however there are two that I would say are my best. Hannah Porter Andersen is my longest standing best friend and Kim Crane probably knows and understands me the very best right now. I think they we match so well because they are both as weird as I am! I love and rely on them both!
C-Cake or Pie: Both are sick.. I love Brownies.
D- Day of Choice: Saturdays. I don't have to go to work, I have absolutely no obligations (generally), I get to sleep in as late as I choose, and usually there is Saturday Night CALM. CALM stands for Carly, Avery, Lindsi, and Mike. We get together and play wii, eat food, and chill. It's fabulous. Saturdays are a very good day for me.
E- Essential Item: Diet Mountain Dew. I wouldn't survive without it.
F- Favorite Color: ORANGE! Saying it's my favorite color doesn't do it justice, orange is more like a lifestyle for me.
G- Gummy Bears or Worms: Both. Gummy Bears are a good quick sugar need fix but worms are always fun too.
H- Hometown: Lindon, Utah but I kind of claim Orem or O-town as mine too.
I- Indulgence(s): Diet Mountain Dew, Blogging, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, itunes, and books.
J- January or July: July. I hate the cold and the winter. I love the sun and the summer. The best adventures happen in July.
K-Kids: I have 28 rugrats I call my own however I get to send them home to their parent every day at 3:05. I don't really say this enough but even though they keep me on my toes I actually love and enjoy the 28 kids that rule my life. :) They have moments that remind me how blessed I am to get to spend my weekdays in their presence.
L-Life is incomplete without: Laughing, family, friends, music, and the color orange.
M- Marriage Date: 10/10/10. Wouldn't that be AMAZING! This is my goal I'm going to work towards. That gives me about 2 and a half years, I feel like that is feasible.
N- Number of Siblings: 2 brothers, 1 sister, 1 sister-in-law
O-Oranges or Apples: Green apples
P-Phobias or Fears: I have a feet phobia; I really hate and dislike them. I'm also afraid that my house is going to burn down or there will be a gas leak in my house and I won't know because I can't smell.
Q-Quote(s): "Be who you are, say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter. " -Dr. Seuss
R- Reason To Smile: My nephew Scooter.
T-Tag: Hannah, Salem, Jackie Sullivan, Carly, and Katie Sullivan
U-Unknown Fact About Me: I have a patch on both my shins that is about 3 inches long and 1 inch wide where I don't grow any hair at all, ever. It is kind of weird. I also don't sweat very much or very often. I can run, workout, be very physically active and not break a sweat at all. It's pretty nice.
V- Vegetarian or Oppressor of Animal: I don't know how to answer that. I never have like any form of meat at all until the past 6 months in which I started eating chicken. I still don't eat it that often but I don't dislike it like I used to.
W- Worst Habit: Interrupting others by cutting them off when they are speaking and also just by the volume of my voice. It's not polite at all.
X- X-Rays or Ultrasounds: I guess x-rays because I've never had an ultrasound and I have had plenty of x-rays and MRI's.
Y- Your Favorite Food: Guacamole, chips, and salsa.
Z-Zodiac: Taurus-the bull

I'm Not Ignoring You

I lost my cellular device. Well actually I left it at Kim's house in Bountiful. I have received word that some of you (Carly and Mike) are sending me nasty and hateful text messages because you think you're being ignored. Never ever would I ignore you or Saturday Night CALM. I do not have possession of my phone and therefore have nobodies contact information. The plan is to receive my phone tomorrow evening. If you have been desperately trying to get ahold of me (Mike and Carly) I will contact you shortly. So just CALM (ha) down!
Also, Kim informed me that I went all weekend and was only contacted once and it was by the previously mentioned party. Not one other call. What a sad life I lead. Oh well, at least I have Reality TV. :)

Slumbers

Some of you stopped having slumber parties when you hit middle school or high school. Not Kim and I. We are 23ish year olds that enjoy a good slumber. In fact, Kim slumbers at my home at least once a week but sometimes more. It is great for me because I get to chillax at home and spend time with a great bud of mine. (Kendall, notice that I didn't say best. I'm being more sensitive to your feelings.) Good things have come because of these frequent slumbers. I get to spend more time with Kim during the week. I have a guitar hero/Mario party buddy. I can make her watch American Idol with me. She has bonded even more with Toni and Don. She usually falls asleep really quick and then she entertains me by saying hilarious things in her sleep. Really the whole situation is win-win for me. Tonight we staged a fake picture of her sleeping so that I could post it. However, about 5 minutes later she really fell asleep and so then I took that picture as well. Can you guess which picture is staged and which one is her really asleep?

Parent Teacher Conferences: Cruel and Unusual Punishment

Wednesday and Thursday were parent teacher conferences. I think that the whole concept is extremely rude to teachers. I understand you want to know what's going on in the classroom and how your child is doing academically. However, there has got to be a better system then making the teacher teach all day and then stay from 3-9 talking to parents . Then the teacher has to get up the next morning and go through the same process again. It's slightly miserable. I love to talk and so you would think I would enjoy this time but I now realize that mostly I like to talk about myself. (I am sure you are shocked by this confession, but it's true.) So, the chatting about kids thing doesn't work out that well.
I will admit that it is fun to meet the parents and get a little better understanding of why the student is the way they are. It is also nice to praise the kids that are hard workers and doing well. It is just hard when you have constructive criticism or areas of concerns. No parent wants to hear their child is struggling or that they are misbehaving. That is absolutely no fun for them or me.
So in conclusion I propose someone come up with a better system so that I'm not so grumpy to my class the whole week of conferences because they are causing me stress and pain. Any ideas?

Survivor Fever

In just a moment I am going to out my true inner nerd, so be prepared. Ever since the writer's strike began I have been really bored with T.V. (super nerd) Somehow I discovered a love for the reality T.V. show Survivor. I had never really watched Survivor before but it seemed like a good time to try it out. It ended up being a great choice for me. I downloaded past seasons of the show and since November have watched seasons 11-15. I realize what a huge waste of time this is but don't judge me. I can't help myself. So I obviously I have become obsessed with the show, developed favorite castaways, etc. The 16th season just started in February and my feelings for this cast and season must be made known. That is why I am revealing this semi-embarrassing fact about myself.
This season is Survivor Micronesia: Fans vs. Favorites. They took 10 super fans and put them on a team against 10 past Survivor favorites. This season is honestly fantastic and let me tell you why.Ozzy Lusth. He is one of the castaways from Survivor: Cook Islands. He got second place and lost in a 4 to 5 vote. I was really disappointed that he lost and then he got a second chance to win on this season! I have been so excited all season watching him because I believe he is the best Survivor ever. I know I am weird and a little too passionate about it but I can't help it. Ozzy isn't really a big guy, he's kind of goofy looking, and he doesn't seem like that big of a deal at first but he is like Tarzan. He climbs trees and catches 8-10 fish with a spear every time he goes fishing. This season he even caught a fish with his bare hands. He swims like a dolphin, can hold his breath for up to 3 minutes under water, he wins individual immunity almost every time, he leads his tribe to win the immunity idol, and much more. He is crazy and I love him. Things are looking good for him this season and I have high hopes that he will win the million dollars. He makes my life just a little brighter and Thursdays my favorite day of the week. My family laughs at me and makes fun of me and you can too but you can't stop my Survivor Fever. :)
